An Open Letter to Young Girls in This Generation

Growing up, there are so many things I wish I had known about love, healing, and self-worth. No one really prepares you for heartbreak, or for the ways we sometimes try to fill the emptiness it leaves behind. So, this letter is for the young girls coming up now, for the ones trying to navigate love, loss, and finding themselves in the middle of it all. Sweet girl, not every love story is meant to last, and that is perfectly okay. What feels like “forever” sometimes comes just to teach you, shape you, and then make room for what is truly yours. Rebounds may feel like a quick fix, but they don’t heal the heart. Jumping into something new won’t erase the old pain, it only hides it for a while until you are ready to face it. Attention is not the same as love. Being noticed, admired, or desired is not the same as being cherished. You are worth so much more than temporary comfort. It is okay to sit with your pain.
